    Carl Pedigo PJ

I've got this up on TalkBass, but I figure I would post it here.

    $1,500 shipped

    Swamp Ash Body
    Quarter Sawn Maple Neck
Unmarked ebony fingerboard (with side markers)
    Hipshot US tuners
Graphtech black TUSQ nut - 1.5" jazz profile
    Aguilar P/J pickups (passive - V/V/T)
Routed for an active setup (battery box on back)
Matte black finish with matching headstock
    Matte black pickguard
    Dunlop straplocks
    Black hardware
    Hipshot A Bridge
    7lb 10oz
    SN 019

Ships in a Protec Contego gig bag via UPS ground, insured.

The pictures show the old preamp setup - there were problems with that preamp, so I gutted it and turned it passive. There is a battery box on the back should you want to put a preamp back in.

Yessir. It ticks off a number of boxes for me, though it's quite heavy. I've half a mind to open it up and make sure there aren't any weights hiding in it!

I didn't make it, Black Bart did. I'm sure he thanks you for the compliment, and I agree with you. It's a stunner!

Yes I was the original owner, I do, thank you both

But I can't take all the credit, Carl created an outstanding instrument and Pat Wilkins really came through with the finish.

What is the neck treatment on back of the neck? Same oil/wax as US Lakland?
    1995 US 4-94 Deluxe, 3tone burst, Bartolini
2007 US Joe Osborn, fiesta red, Fralin
2010 US Decade, firemist gold, Chi-Sonics

Yes, same treatment as a US Lakland. IIRC, the neck on this one was über smooth.

One difference of note is the profile in how Carl rounds over the transition of the neck between the fingerboard and back of the neck - much more rolled IMHO and comfortable. He doesn't like 'shoulders' as he calls them, when you feel like you have to lift your fingers up and over the edge of a neck.

Even in the land of " big shoulders" Carl likes small shoulders.. When it comes to bass necks anyways... Yes.. Very comfy neck profiles!

Yes, but better. I currently have two other US Laklands and the neck on this one is superior to either.
